Freestyle / Greco Roman Info

1)  Dues for the Freestyle / Greco Roman season:  $150, which covers practices for April and May 2025.  Freestyle and Greco Roman are Olympic styles of wrestling vs Folkstyle wrestling which is high school and college wrestling.  Please pay dues through the link found on this website (please make sure you pay the “Freestyle / Greco dues”). 

2)  Freestyle / Greco Roman practices are open to youth wrestlers (1st grade – 8th grade) and high school wrestlers (9th grade – 12th grade).  The Freestyle / Greco Roman practices will be geared towards wrestlers who have prior wrestling experience, so it is recommended that 1st year wrestlers sign up for the regular season.    

3)  All wrestlers must fill out a Wrestler Info & Consent Form found on this website under “Forms”. Please fill out the forms even if you have filled them out in past seasons.

4)  Required equipment:  athletic shorts / pants, T-shirt, and wrestling shoes.  Mouthpieces are required for those with braces. 

5)  Recommended equipment:  Headgear, which can be purchased at Dicks, Hibbetts, Academy Sports, and Amazon. 

6)  Freestyle / Greco Roman practices for the 2024/2025 season will be held 2 days a week in the annex building at the Fayette Center of Innovation located at 250 Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree City, GA.  The annex building / wrestling room is the stand alone building on the left side of school when facing the school from Peachtree Parkway.  Practices will be run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 PM.  Practices will start on April 1, 2025 and end on May 22, 2025.  Please see calendar (found on this website) which will be updated during the season. 

7)  Tournaments:  there will be some freestyle and Greco roman tournaments during April and May.  Details will be provided at a later date to those who would like to attend.
